Certification milestones highlight commitment to world-class governance

The month of February has seen Optic Security Group gain membership of the Australian Government’s Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and recertify across multiple ISO standards.

ISO certifications and DISP membership

Optic Security Group is now a member of the Australian Government’s Defence Industry Security Program (DISP). The program ensures that industry has the right security in place for Defence tenders and contracts and it provides assurance to Defence and other government entities when working with DISP members.

According to Managing Director Mike Cunningham, DISP membership reflects the Group's commitment to robust governance across personnel, physical, and ICT security in line with Defence security requirements.

"After significant investment in systems, process, and importantly, our people, it is rewarding to see the Australian Government place its trust in Optic Security," said Mike. "The real work begins in maintaining this valued status and serving Australia."

The milestone is set to strengthen the Group's ability to support Defence, aerospace, critical infrastructure, and sovereign capability projects where rigorous security standards are essential.

Also in February, Optic celebrated success in achieving re-certification to International Organization for Standardization standards ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management).

"This is a significant achievement and an important reflection of the consistently high standards we maintain across the organisation," said COO Geoff Sondergeld. "These accreditations don’t just happen—they require commitment, discipline, and teamwork."

Maintaining triple ISO certification requires rigorous external audit, robust internal systems, and a team that lives these principles every day.
