High achievers see Optic Security Group shortlisted in 2025 Australian Security Industry Awards

It was announced yesterday by the Australian Security Industry Association (ASIAL) that two Optic Security Group nominees have been shortlisted as finalists in the Australian Security Industry Awards of Excellence 2025!

Congratulations to Rebecca Sorgiovanni, who has been shortlisted as a finalist in the "Unsung Hero (Electronic Security Sector)" category, and to Wesley Wyatt who led the Sunshine Coast Airport Indigo Vision to Avigilon Unity Upgrade that's been shortlisted in the "Integrated Security Solution (under $500,000)" category!

Rebecca has been nominated in her role as Group Corporate Services Development Manager and reflects her track record not only reflects a strong work ethic and ability to master complex corporate management initiatives with proficiency, but also a passion for connecting with people and providing support to deliver high quality outcomes.

Rebecca demonstrated her capability and capacity for quality outcomes came with the roll-out of a new Group-wide Corporate Services function, an unprecedented and significant undertaking. Rebecca’s work – and the way she went about her work – ensured optimal acceptance and compliance with this new regime.

The Sunshine Coast Airport IndigoVision to Avigilon Unity project led by Wes had innovation at its core, from the selection of solution partners to the centralisation of contract documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

According to the customer: “Optic Security group were tasked with undertaking a major VMS transition, utilising existing hardware and infrastructure. The project included introducing AI technology to the business and saw major obstacles with existing infrastructure."
