Airport CCTV upgrade project shortlisted as a finalist in the Australian Security Industry Awards

Optic Security Group staff are in the running for the silverware in two categories of the ASIAL-organised Australian Security Industry Awards, including a team of airport security specialists.

We are thrilled that we have been shortlisted as a finalist in the "Integrated Security Solution Under $500,000" category of the Australian Security Industry Awards 2025!

An Optic Security Group Team led by Regional Manager and Technical Lead Wesley Wyatt supported Sunshine Coast Airport's transformative expansion with the delivery of a future-focused integrated security solution to optimise security and safety outcomes throughout the expansion and beyond. 

Wesley's approach to this airport CCTV project had innovation at its core, from the selection of solution partners to the centralisation of contract documentation and continuous improvement initiatives. 

“The integrated security solution project undertaken by Wes Wyatt and his team at Sunshine Coast Airport was textbook. A detailed knowledge of the airport context, requirements, and operations, placed us on the front foot in terms of being able to put forward a confident and innovative solution to the airport," stated Group Sales Director Mark Lloyd.

“Precision "project management and clear accountabilities enabled the team to crack on with making progress and delivering on what was promised – on time and within budget. We are grateful to the airport for given us the opportunity to deliver this project and to demonstrate our strengths.”
